You don't need to worry about adding coral reefs to a tank containing porcelain crabs. Their natural symbiotic relationship and habit of eating filters mean that porcelain crabs are entirely safe for coral reefs.

Porcelain crabs first appeared in the Tithonian period of the Late Jurassic, around 145 to 152 million years ago. This type of crab has a more compact and flat body. However, its body is quite fragile, and it often sheds its own limbs as a way to avoid predator attacks. These porcelain crabs had large claws that served as a tool to fight for territory, not to catch food.
